Imbrahimovic was sent off in 31st minute of the clash at Stamford Bridge for a challenge on Chelsea midfielder Oscar.
The Swede was less than impressed when Chelsea players hounded Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers who produced a red card for the tackle.
"When I got the red card all the Chelsea players come around," said Ibrahimovic. " It felt like I had a lot of babies around me.
"I don't know if I have to get angry or start to laugh. For me when I saw the red card I was like 'the guy doesn't know what he's doing'."
However, Ibrahimovic got the last laugh as his side progressed through to the Champions League quarter-finals after the match ended as a 2-2 draw.
Gary Cahill put Chelsea 1-0 up in the 81st minute, but ex-Blues defender David Luiz levelled things up with a stunning header just five minutes later.
With the scores level after regulation time the match proceeded into extra-time.
Eden Hazard slotted home a penalty in the 96th minute after Thiago Silva was penalised for handball.
But, Silva atoned for his sin with a cracking header in the 114th minute to seal the win for his side.
Despite the aggregate score being 3-3, Paris St-Germain went through to the last eight on the away goals rule.
