Lionel Messi extends unrivalled goalscoring record against English Premier League clubs

Lionel Messi showed why he is considered as the greatest player to have played the game with a near-perfect performance against Manchester United in the second leg of UEFA Champions League quarterfinal which Barca won 3-0.

Messi led the way for Barcelona with a brace which helped them register a massive 4-0 aggregate victory over the English Premier League club. And on his way to a 24th goal against an English club, he extended his own record.

Prior to the match, the Argentine had 22 goals against English clubs, the most by any player in the Champions League. And now, he has as many as 24 goals against the Premier League clubs in 32 matches. Astonishingly, the Barcelona man has more goals against the top six English sides than the likes of Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
