France Football publishes depiction of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi kissing on front cover in their latest edition

The rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most enormous of its kind in the history of football.

Both players are considered two of the greatest players in the world, and as we all know they are often compared to one another.

The talismanic duo are currently on the way to their respective domestic titles with their own clubs – Messi in the La Liga at Spain with Barcelona, and Ronaldo in the Serie A at Italy with his club Juventus. The duo are also enjoying good, individual runs of form, with the former at 33 goals in this season so far, and the latter at 19.

But as of latest, the rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo seems to have taken an entirely different route altogether, with France Football publishing an extremely provocative sketch of the two players kissing each other, as you can see below:

The picture belongs to a comparative article of the two five-time Ballon D’Or winners, and also features a poll for audience to vote for who the best is, between the both of them.

The design originally Tvboy, who is an artist. He famously painted the image in the city of Barcelona close to two years ago. The piece, titled “Love is Blind”, has shocked a number of fans since the time of its launch.

The latest use of the same design, on France Football‘s cover has also not gone well with some supporters, who have accused the agency of disrespecting the players and their families.

Meanwhile, both Barcelona and Juventus are getting ready for some Champions League action, with the former facing Manchester United and the latter facing AFC Ajax in their respective quarter-final fixtures. It is expected that Ronaldo will play for the Bianconeris, while Messi will don the maroon-and-blue for the Catalans.
