The official draw for the UEFA Champions League 2018-19 quarterfinals were held in Nyon, Switzerland on March 15 with the last eight of UCL presenting some exciting meetings between Europe’s top clubs!
Five-time champions Barcelona will face Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s Manchester United in the quarterfinal.
AFC Ajax, who won the last of their four European Cup titles back in 1995, will take on Juventus, powered by Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo who is looking to win his fourth successive UCL title.
Liverpool, last year’s runners-up, will face Portuguese giants FC Porto. Tottenham Hotspur will face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in an all-Premier League clash.
Eight clubs — Ajax, Barcelona, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, FC Porto and Tottenham Hotspur — were in the pot for the draw.
The quarterfinals first legs are scheduled to be played on April 9/10 with the second legs slated for April 16/17.
The semifinals first leg will take place on April 30/May 1 followed by the second leg on May 7/8.
The final of the 2018-19 season of the UEFA Champions League is scheduled to be held at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on June 1, 2019.
