Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo mimics Diego Simeone’s ‘cojones’ celebration after helping Juventus knock Atletico Madrid out of the UCL

Cristiano Ronaldo mimicked Diego Simeone’s infamous celebration after scoring a hattrick to consign Atletico Madrid to defeat in their Champions League round of 16 match.

Cristiano Ronaldo was in supreme form as he scored a hattrick to help Juventus overturn a first leg 2-0 deficit against Atletico Madrid and ensure that the Italian champions progressed to the quarterfinals in the Champions League.

The night began in controversy as Giorgio Chiellini’s goal early in the match was chalked off but Ronaldo soon put Juve on the scoreboard with a headed goal in the 27th minute.

He then scored another header in the 49th minute before sealing the victory and Juventus’ progression in the tournament with a well taken 86th minute penalty. It was then that he unfurled Simeone’s ‘crotch’ celebration.

The night wasn’t just a momentous one for Juventus as it also marked the match where Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player ever to notch up 125 goals in all UEFA competitions.

The win sees Juventus enter the fray for the quarterfinals in the tournament – one which has been marked by spectacular comebacks from Ajax and Manchester United who also overturned first leg deficits to progress.
