Kylian Mbappe admits to losing sleep after Champions League loss to Manchester United

Manchester United produced a historic comeback against Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League, after they overturned a first-leg deficit to progress to the next round. Several PSG stars were left stunned by the Red Devils’ comeback and Kylian Mbappe has spoken about the same.

On March 6, Manchester United defeated Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League Round-of-16 second-leg. The Red Devils did so by beating the Parisians three-one, overturning a first-leg deficit during the same.

Romelu Lukaku had put United up in the second minute, only for Juan Bernat to equalize ten minutes later. Nevertheless, the Belgian striker restored the Red Devils’ advantage, scoring again shortly after PSG’s equalizer.

The tie’s telling moment came in the fourth minute of added time, when Presnel Kimpenbe was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the penalty box. Marcus Rashford stepped up and sent United through to the Champions League quarterfinals on aggregate.

Manchester United’s spirited comeback left many PSG players in shock. Kylian Mbappe has admitted the same, even revealing that he has lost sleep after the defeat.

“We are stunned. There are no words.

“I have not managed to sleep. I think it has been the same for everybody else.

“We had worked hard to arrive at this moment. We are disappointed. We ruined the party,” Mbappe told Telefoot.

Meanwhile, the Frenchman also confirmed that he will be staying at PSG beyond this season, bashing all rumours regarding his immediate future.
