FC Schalke 04 are determined to keep hold of Leon Goretzka despite an ever increasing interest in the talented German midfielder.
A 22-year-old former VfL Bochum player with bags of talent, Goretzka has been excellent for Schalke since joining the side in 2013.
In total, he has played 128 times for the Bundesliga side, scoring 19 goals and creating 13.
His performances this season, that includes four goals in 10 games in all competitions, has attracted the attention of Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool.
With six months left on his current contract, the pressure is increasing on Schalke to tie up a deal for the player.
Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel told SportBild: “I think if Schalke had no chance to keep him I would be the first to know that. “But I haven’t received that kind of information until now.
“Leon will make a decision soon without us building any pressure on him.”
