The Bundesliga has confirmed that the league’s stadium attendances are amongst the highest in Europe, with Borussia Dortmund boasting the highest average on the continent.
According to a study by DeporFinanza, BVB are number one on the list ahead of Manchester United in second. Bayern Munich are in third place while Tottenham Hotspur come in fourth. Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid round out the top five.

The league’s official website said, “Borussia Dortmund top the 100-club list of average attendances (80,830) – some 5,003 ahead of English Premier League outfit Manchester United (75,027).
“FC Bayern München are third (75,000) and eight Bundesliga clubs included in the top 30. All told, 23 Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs make up the top 100.”
However, the English Premier League and the nation’s lower divisions remain the most well supported on the whole with 29 teams making it on to the 100-team list.
Germany has 23 clubs ahead of France on 11 sides. Spain, where the power base in support rests with mainly Barcelona and Real, then follow with nine teams.
