Manager Alexander Nouri was disappointed that SV Werder Bremen were unable to claim all three points against VfL Wolfsburg after creating numerous chances.
Nouri's charges drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg on Tuesday, which means they are still without a Bundesliga win so far this season, drawing two games and losing three.
Bremen looked the more likely of the two sides to score the winning goal towards the end of the clash, but neither were able to find the decisive strike.
Nouri said, as quoted by Wolfsburg's official website: "We wanted to defend as a compact unit and break at pace in the first half. On the whole, we were generally solid in our processes and defended well.
"We, unfortunately, made too many errors whilst in possession and lacked clarity and courage. We were thus unable to relieve the pressure.
"In the second-half, we looked to defend higher up the pitch and show some more courage when on the ball – which worked well for us and we then managed to carve out a number of openings.
"It's a shame we didn’t manage to reward ourselves with all three points."
