FC Bayern München attacking midfielder Thomas Muller believes the club's hunger to win further German Bundesliga titles remains as ravenous as ever.
The Bavarians are currently on a pre-season tour to China and Singapore where they will face Arsenal, AC Milan, Chelsea and Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup.
Nonetheless, despite Bayern having won five league titles in a row in recent seasons, Muller has revealed that a strong appetite for more success exists in the squad.
He told his side's official website, "It's not about winning titles, for us it's about being the best. And you only do that when you're getting the points and sitting at the top every week.
"It doesn't matter that we've won the title for the last five years. Our motivation is looking at the table every week and seeing Bayern Munich at the top. Then we're happy and we can have a nice Sunday. That's what we work for every day."
The 27-year-old had something of a below par 2016/17 season by his own high standards as he contributed just five league goals, compared to the 20 he scored in 2015/16. He will no doubt look to return to his best in the upcoming campaign.
