Bayer 04 Leverkusen star Kevin Kampl says he doesn't want to play for the club any longer despite being under contract until at least 2020.
The midfielder appears to be unhappy with life at Leverkusen after former coach Roger Schmidt left the club. The player revealed he was hurt when Schmidt departed Eleven of the Company last March, and he now wants out.
Kampl told Kicker, "I will definitely leave Leverkusen, which is a fact! Roger's exit has hurt me, and left traces."
The Slovenia international added he may consider a move to his mentor's new club, Bejing Guoan in China, saying, "China is very far, if I go there, then only because of Roger."
Meanwhile, Leverkusen Sports Director Rudi Voller revealed there are other clubs interested in the 26-year-old's services reportedly including AC Milan. He told the publication, "In addition to the Chinese, there are a few others…"
