Adisak Kraisorn insists Muangthong United will not get carried away despite claiming a healthy lead in the final of the Toyota Mekong Club Championship 2017 final.
Adisak was the Twin Qilins’ hero in Saturday’s first leg at the Hang Day Stadium, netting twice and laying on an assist in a 3-1 victory over Sanna Khanh Hoa.
Both sides will meet again at the Supachalasai Stadium in Thailand on January 6 for the return encounter but, as things stand, it is Muangthong who have one hand on the trophy.
Nonetheless, while there were plenty of positives from Saturday’s display, Adisak claims his side will retain focus and not allow complacency to creep in ahead of the second leg.
“I’m delighted that we were able to play to the best of our abilities in this first leg,” said the Thailand international.
“We have only been back training as a group for a week or so, and I believe we will show even better concentration in the next game.
“Since the first round, Sanna Khanh Hoa have shown that they are a good team and were tough to battle against.
“But, from tonight, we have learned a lot about them for our next game and now, for the next one to two weeks, we will continue to work hard and concentrate on that upcoming match.”
With Teerasil Dangda leaving for J1 League outfit Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2018, Adisak – who has scored eight goals in 25 caps for Thailand – is set to play a more prominent role in attack for Muangthong next season.
