Zob Ahan claimed a second consecutive win in AFC Champions League 2019 after coming from behind to beat Al Wasl 3-1 at the Zabeel Stadium on Monday.
It was Al Wasl who opened the scoring after 15 minutes when Caio latched onto a pass from Ali Saleh and created a yard of space with a lovely turn, before expertly guiding his shot into the bottom corner.
But, just a minute later, the visitors equalised when Christian Osaguona was picked out with a delivery from the left and proceeded to send a stooping header into the back of the net.
Zob Ahan then edged ahead five minutes after the half-hour mark when a long throw by Hamid Bou Hamdan was flicked on by Osaguona into the path of Amir Arsalan Motahari, who got just enough purchase on his shot to squeeze it past Humaid Al-Najar.
And, with four minutes remaining, the Iranian outfit sealed the win when Bou Hamdan received possession on the edge of the area and drilled a precise drive into the bottom corner.
