Ulsan Hyundai remain the only unbeaten team in AFC Champions League 2019 Group H as they beat Shanghai SIPG 1-0 on Wednesday.

Following a goalless first half at the Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium, Junior Negrao scored what proved to be the winner in the 66th minute when he escaped from his marker to meet Kim Bo-kyung’s corner with a glancing header into the bottom corner.

With the result, Ulsan are now top of the group on four points ahead of Shanghai and Kawasaki Frontale, who bounced back from last week’s opening defeat by beating Sydney FC 1-0.

With neither side able to find the breakthrough for much of the contest, it initially looked as though a draw was on the cards.

But, with seven minutes left on the clock, Manabu Saito pounced on a loose ball inside the area and finished from close range to hand the J1 League champions their first points of the campaign.
