Ha Noi stretched their lead at the V.League 1 summit to eight points on Sunday after cruising to a 4-0 win over Sanna Khanh Hoa BVN.

Ha Noi, who are still unbeaten in 2018, were always in control of proceedings at the Hang Day Stadium courtesy of goals inside the opening 11 minutes from Pham Van Thanh and Ngan Van Dai.

Doan Van Hau then added a third four minutes before halftime, before Nguyen Quang Hai struck in the 87th minute to complete the rout.

The result allowed the three-time champions to extend their advantage after second-placed Than Quang Ninh were held to a 1-1 draw by Becamex Binh Duong.

In fact, it was Binh Duong who drew first blood at the Cam Pha Stadium courtesy of a 41st-minute effort by in-form Nguyen Tien Linh, with the 20-year-old wonderkid taking his tally to five goals in his last two matches.

However, Joel Vinicius popped up with the equaliser eight minutes after the hour mark to earn the hosts a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, Hoang Anh Gia Lai stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games with a 2-2 draw against Ho Chi Minh City at the Pleiku Stadium.

It could have been even better for HAGL as they were initially cruising to victory, with Nguyen Van Toan putting them ahead in the 43rd minute before Nguyen Cong Phuong doubled their lead a minute after the break.

But Huynh Van Thanh pulled one back for the visitors in the 67th minute, before Do Van Thuan forced the draw three minutes later.

Over at the Tam Ky Stadium, Phan Thanh Hung scored in the 93rd minute to hand defending champions Quang Nam a dramatic 1-0 victory over XSKT Can Tho, while SHB Da Nang and Song Lam Nghe An played out a 2-2 draw at the Hoa Xuan Stadium.

Finally, bottom side Nam Dinh rescued a 1-1 draw against FLC Thanh Hoa, and Andre Fagan’s 15th-minute strike was enough to help Hai Phong win 1-0 at Sai Gon.
