Buriram United maintained their 100 per cent record in Thai League 1 on Friday as they cruised to a 3-0 win over PT Prachuap.

Buriram took the lead in the 21st minute when Supachok Sarachat was quickest to react after Jakkaphan Kaewprom’s initial effort had been saved by Hassachai Sankla, playing a low cross into the six-yard box for Diogo to sweep home.

Five minutes after the hour mark, Diogo doubled his tally for the evening as he sent Hassachai the wrong way from the penalty spot, after Sasalak Haiprakhon had been clipped from behind by Seeket Madputeh inside the area.

And, with seven minutes remaining, Ratthanakorn Maikami made sure of the win when he played an excellent ball out left to Diogo, before embarking on a 50-yard charge into the box to meet the Brazilian’s return pass and finish from close range.

With the win, Buriram tentatively moved top of the table on 12 points, with Port and Sukhothai both looking to catch them in their respective matches against Bangkok Glass and Chainat Hornbill on Sunday.

Next up for the Thunder Castle is their third AFC Champions League Group G clash against Cerezo Osaka on Tuesday, where they will be looking to get their campaign up and running after picking up just one point so far.

Meanwhile, despite the loss, newly-promoted Prachuap still find themselves sitting pretty inside the top six having notched two wins in their previous three games.
