Yannick Carrasco and Nico Gaitan have called time on their Atletico Madrid careers by joining Chinese Super League newcomers Dalian Yifang.
The Blue Hawks are preparing for their return to the top tier of Chinese football after a three-year absence with a new man at the helm in Ma Lin.
Fresh from signing Jose Fonte from West Ham on Friday, the Liaoning outfit have now tempted Carrasco and Gaitan to China.
Belgium international Carrasco had started just 14 games in all competitions for Los Colchoneros this term, while fellow winger Gaitan was used even more sparingly by Atleti head coach Diego Simeone.
The Spanish club announced the departures on Monday, with the duo moving to the Dalian Sports Center Stadium for undisclosed fees.
Carrasco spent two-and-a-half years in Spain’s capital and Gaitan was on Atletico’s books for the last 18 months.
