China battle to draw with Haiti

China battled to a 2-2 draw with Haiti in an international friendly match that took place at the Helong Stadium on Friday.

The visitors took the lead in the 34th minute when Jeff Louis took advantage of an error by goalkeeper Wang Dalei and found the back of the net unchallenged.

The hosts equalised shortly after half-time when Ji Xiang's right wing cross found Yang Xu in the box and the striker made no mistake with a diagonal half-volley.

Haiti again took the lead in the 73rd minute when left-winner Wilde Guerrier latched onto Duckens Nazon’s pass to make it 2-1 with an accurate shot into the top corner.

Attacking midfielder  Yu Dabao was the hero for the hosts in the 82nd minute when, with his first touch of the ball after coming on only seconds before, found the back of the net following a goal-mouth scramble.

China play Tunisia in another friendly on March 31 in Nanjing.
