Kazakhstan earn draw in Moscow

Kazakhstan managed to hold Russia to a 0-0 draw at Moscow's Khimki Arena on Tuesday.

While the hosts fielded a somewhat experiment team against their Central Asian opponents, Fabio Capello's side could even regarded as fortunate to have anything to show from the match.

In front of a sparse crowd, Yuri Kraznozhan's side created the better chances throughout the match – albeit few and far between – and had Kazakhstan been slightly more adventurous, they could have surprised the 2018 World Cup hosts.

Arguably the best move of the match took place on the hour mark when Islamkhan Bauyrzhan found himself in the space down the right flank but nobody was able to meet his excellent cross into space.
