Albirex Niigata (S) coach Kazuaki Yoshinaga has been rewarded for his quadruple-winning efforts with a one-year contract extension.
In his first year at the helm of the White Swans, Yoshinaga emulated predecessor Naoki Naruo by leading the club to the S.League, Singapore Cup, League Cup and Community Shield titles.
And, on the morning after he won the competition’s Coach of the Year award, the club confirmed that Yoshinaga will be staying on for another season.
“We are able to finish with a wonderful achievement in [the] 2017 season,” said the 49-year-old on Albirex’s official website.
“I really appreciate the club [for giving me] the opportunity to continue conducting the 2018 season as well.
“I have three targets for the new year and will work with my team to achieve them, namely – to continue to pursue victory both as a team and individually; all people who are related to our group will continue to grow and improve; and to contribute to Singapore football.
