According to a statement released by JDT on their Facebook page, the club hope to use the 24-year-old in their AFC Cup last 16 match against Ayeyawady United on May 27.
He is expected to sign a new contract with the Malaysian side until 2017.
The M-League transfer window only opens at the end of the year which means that Diaz will not be able to play in the remainder of the 2015 Malaysian Super League season.
If JDT crash out of the AFC Cup, Diaz will be temporarily loaned out to a French or American club.
The striker played a significant role in JDT winning the Super League title last year.
