Both players "played with pain" during Persepolis' 1-0 victory over arch-rivals Esteghlal in their domestic season finale on Friday, and they have now been listed as doubtful for the first leg of their AFC Champions League round of 16 clash.
Ivankovic said that the pair will undergo further medical exams before a decision is taken on whether they will be fit to play on Tuesday or not.
"Bengar and Umana played with pain in the derby against Esteghlal on Friday," Ivankovic was quoted as saying by the Tehran Times. "More medical exams by the club’s medical staff will determine if they are available for Tuesday’s match or not."
Persepolis qualified for the last 16 by finishing second in the Group A standings with four wins and two losses.
