Sabah coach Justin Ganai knocked out by his own player during training session

It was a bad day at the office for Justin Ganai, coach of Malaysia Premier League side Sabah FA, after he was knocked out by his own player during a training session.

According to the New Straits Times,  Justin collided with a Sabah player during a team training session ahead of a President’s Cup clash which knocked him out unconscious.

“It happened around 5.30pm [on Sunday]. The team were preparing for the game against Petaling Jaya City FC here,” said Ebby Roy, team manager of Sabah FA.

“Justin was drilling his players on how to defend when one of the players accidentally knocked him out cold. He collapsed and was unconscious,” he told the Malaysian news outlet.

“Justin was attended to by our medical personnel before an ambulance came to the training ground. He is now at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital,” Ebby added.

According to NST, the 63-year-old former Sabah player “is in stable condition but has been advised by doctors to undergo further tests.”

Be back on the field soon, Justin!
