Denmark manager Age Hareide has criticised the France national team and their star midfielder Paul Pogba, saying he is unimpressed by them.
Hareide’s charges will face France, Australia, and Peru in Group C at the World Cup in Russia. Les Bleus are considered one of the favourites to go all the way at the tournament, but the Denmark boss had nothing positive to say about his opponents or their Manchester United midfielder.
“I don’t believe in this team,” he told Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten.
“The teams at the top of the world rankings are the best in the world, but this is not the case for France.
“I saw France against Sweden in Stockholm. They are nothing special.”
When asked about Pogba in particular, he added: “He played against Manchester City with his hair dyed blue and white, maybe he’ll have it red and white to play us. Does he only think about his haircuts?”
Denmark will clash with Didier Deschamps’ France team in the final round of group games on June 26 at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
