Amid rumours of interest from Juventus, Graziano Pelle admits he misses Italy but maintains he is still happy in England at Southampton.
The in-form striker has already contributed nine goals to the Saints cause this season and elite clubs around Europe are starting to sit up and take notice, with Juventus reportedly leading the charge for his signature.
While Pelle did insist that he is happy in England, he didn't say much to dispel rumours of an exit, saying he missed Italy and even praised the Serie A for its resurgence in recent seasons.
"My contract runs out in one-and-a-half years time," the Southern Daily Echo reports Pelle saying. "Italy is a wonderful country and I miss its beauty in general.
"The league was in decline but it is improving at the moment and that's obvious from abroad.
"Serie A used to be snubbed in other countries but thanks to Juventus' performances in the Champions League and other Italian efforts in Europe, we are returning to the standard of Italian football that we used to know.
"It is becoming one of the world's best leagues once again. I'm nostalgic for Italy but I'm happy in England, we'll see what happens," he concluded.
