Borussia MG midfielder Granit Xhaka is a wanted man in England, with Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly set to battle it out for his signature in January.
The Switzerland international, who is contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until 2019, has emerged as a transfer target for the English Premier League duo, according to a report from German publication Bild.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is said to be a long-term admirer of the 23-year-old, while Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is fully aware of the talents Xhaka possesses following a hugely successful seven-year stint at the helm of BVB Dortmund.
Klopp will reportedly have finds to spend in January and it has been suggested he will launch a £20million bid for the central midfielder.
The Gunners, meanwhile, are currently scouting the Swiss player as they seek a long-term replacement for veteran Mikel Arteta.
Xhaka was on the books of Swiss giants Basel prior to joining Borussia MG, and has made 39 appearances for Switzerland after representing his country at various youth levels.
