Thai League Week 5: Top 5 goals of the week – Agree or disagree?

Every week, FOX Sports Asia brings you the top five goals from Thai League 1 but of course, you can always tell us your choices.

So without further ado, here are the top five goals from Week 05.

1. Robson Fernandes (Bangkok United)
Bangkok United 2-2 Buriram United

Striker Robson Fernandes gave Bangkok United something to cheer about in the 55th minute with a superb team goal following teammate Teeratep Winothai’s delicate through pass.

Leesaw had struck earlier on in the 11th minute with a bullet header, but Pansa Hemviboon and Edgar Silva scored for the Thunder Castles to give both sides a share of the points in the 2-2 draw.

Despite the result, Buriram are still top of the table with 13 points. They have a one-point lead over second-placed Nakhon Ratchasima.

2. Douglas Tanque (Police Tero)
Chainat Hornbill 2-4 Police Tero

Brazilian attacker Douglas Tanque’s audacious long-range missile was enough to help Police Tero secure their first win of the season over Chainat Hornbill.

Receiving a lofted pass from midfielder Nopphon Ponkam, the 24-year-old shot from well outside the area in the 17th minute past opposing keeper Anusit Termmee.

Michael N’Dri and Aung Thu were the other Silver Shields Dragons’ goalscorers as they won 4-2.

3. Aung Thu (Police Tero)
Chainat Hornbill 2-4 Police Tero

Aung Thu channeled his inner Thierry Henry as the speedy Myanmar international struck in the 69th minute in Police Tero’s 4-2 win over the Hornbills.

The 21-year-old striker ran on to Marcos Vinicius’ through ball right down the middle and left opposing defender Kiatisak Jia-udom chasing shadows as he slotted past Anusit Termmee to put the icing on the cake.

Aung Thu’s second goal of the season brings the Silver Shields Dragons up to 14th in the Thai League 1 table with five games played.

4. Bajram Nebihi (Chiangrai United)
Chiangrai United 2-0 Ratchaburi Mitr Phol

Chiangrai United had Bajram Nebihi to thank as his two goals gave them a 2-0 win against Ratchaburi Mitr Phol.

The German midfielder, who was awarded the Man-of-the-Match prize, hit the Dragons in the 70th minute with a well-placed shot after a neat layoff by forward Cleiton Silva. Nebihi had given the Beetles the lead earlier on in the 29th minute.

With this victory, Chiangrai United ended a three-match winless streak and move up to the top half of the standing in eighth place.

5. Paulo Rangel (Nakhon Ratchasima)
Nakhon Ratchasima 2-1 Sukhothai

Brazilian Paulo Rangel got Nakhon Ratchasima on the way in their 2-1 win over Sukhothai with a goal in the 22th minute.

The 33-year-old forward squeezed in between Fire Bats’ captain Yuttapong Srilakorn and defender Narongrit Boonsuk to direct teammate Decha Srangdee’s cross into the net to hand his team the lead.

Dominic Adiyiah completed the scoring for the Swat Cats in the 77th minute as Sukhothai slipped to third in the table.
