Ronaldinho scores benefit match stunner

Ronaldinho will be remembered as one of the greatest players of his era, lighting up the pitch for Brazil, Barcelona, PSG and AC Milan among others during a sparkling career.

And just in case you had forgotten how good he was, the 2002 World Cup winner provided a timely reminder at the weekend during a charity match.

The 37-year old was appearing in a benefit match in Sao Paulo when he picked up the ball in his own half and then launched a laser-like 60-yard rocket over the opposing goalkeeper and into the goal.

It was so good even the beaten keeper had to applaud.

Ronaldinho has not played competitively for more than two years and has yet to officially retire, although he has announced he will hang up his boots sometime next year.

Keepers around the world must be breathing a sigh of relief.
