Getafe completed the signing of Real Madrid goalkeeper Ruben Yanez before sending him on loan to Cadiz.
A 23-year-old former Spanish under 20 shotstopper, who joined Real in 2010, made his way through the club's ranks until before being given his chance in the first side under Rafael Benitez in 2015.
He played no part in the club's recently concluded season and joins Getafe on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
A statement from Madrid read: "Real Madrid C. F. and Getafe C. F. have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ruben Yanez.
"The club expresses its thanks for what has been an exemplary career throughout the seven seasons the player has spent as part of Real Madrid, which has seen him come through the academy and break into the first-team squad."
