Fiorentina have wrapped up the signing of Giovanni Simeone, son of Diego Simeone, on a five-year-deal from Genoa.
The Argentinian striker scored 11 goals in 30 Serie A appearances in his first season in Italy, and signs for the Viola on a deal worth a reported €15m plus €3m bonuses.
The 22-year-old was born in Madrid while his father, current Atletico Madrid manager Diego, was playing for Los Rojiblancos, but plays youth football for Argentina.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for me," Simeone told the Italian club's official website.
"I made the choice to come here, it was what I wanted and we did what needed to be done."
