FC Bayern München forward Thomas Muller believes the club are under obligation to win the Bundesliga title, and have learned to deal with the pressure that brings.
The Bavarians endured a tough pre-season period where the club lost five out of six matches in the International Champions Cup, in addition to the Audi Cup as well.
However, last Saturday's Supercup victory over major rivals Borussia Dortmund seems to be an indication that the reigning German champions are nearing a return to form.
Bayern had to battle back on two occasions against Dortmund to draw 2-2 in regulation time before winning the contest 5-4 on penalties at Signal Iduna Park. As such, Muller is confident that the team can continue to handle pressure and win major trophies.
He told the league's official website, "We don't need to make statements. It's our obligation to win the title. We will make sure we’re ready for every matchday. What other clubs do is up to them. After the Telekom Cup we were being anointed as Bundesliga champions already.
"Every other Bundesliga club was ready to fall at our knees. Then after the Audi Cup it was completely the opposite. Now we've won the Supercup we're back to being likely champions? Honestly, we're well used to all this."
