Massimiliano Allegri gave short shrift to the idea that Chelsea could prise Alex Sandro away from Juventus this season.

Antonio Conte is still fine tuning his side and reportedly had a £60m bid for Sandro rejected by the Serie A champions earlier in the off-season as they are intent on retaining their first choice left-back.

Conte has already signed Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, Roma centre-back Antonio Rudiger, Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

Shortly after seeing his side suffer a 2-0 pre-season friendly defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Allegri said there was "no chance" of the player leaving.

The Brazilian international, who joined Juventus from Porto in 2015, played the first half at Wembley Stadium before being substituted alongside a number of teammates as Allegri made 11 substitutions.

"Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one," the manager exclaimed.
