FC Bayern München coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he is not happy with the club's pre-season performances, after a string of losses to a variety of top European opponents.
The German giants suffered defeats to Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Napoli in what was no doubt something unexpected for the Bavarians.
In particular, a 4-0 loss to AC Milan, a 2-0 defeat to Inter, a 3-0 setback to Liverpool and a 2-0 reversal at the hands of Napoli seem to have shaken the confidence of the Italian mentor.
It appears that not only are the side struggling to score goals, keeping clean sheets is also an ongoing issue. As such, Ancelotti, speaking after the most recent defeat to Napoli, is hopeful of better in Saturday's Supercup against Borussia Dortmund.
He told Bayern's official website, "We've lost too many matches during pre-season but we'll work hard for the next few matches. The youngsters did a very good job, it was a good test for them even though the level was very high.
"Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy turned in good displays. We'll now prepare for the match away to Dortmund on Saturday, and we'll try to win it."
