Süper Lig Champions Besiktas have announced the signing of Alvaro Negredo from Valencia for a reported €2.4m.
The 31-year-old Spanish striker joins the Turkish giants on a three-year deal, having spent the 20116/17 season on loan with Middlesbrough.
His signing comes shortly after the club announced the capture of defender Pepe.
Swansea City and Leeds United were also reportedly keen on the former Rayo Vallecano, Almeria, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Manchester City frontman, who scored nine league goals last term.
Besiktas announced Negredo's arrival with a video on their official Twitter account before posting pictures of the player wearing the club's colours.
