Defending Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco have signed France U21 international winger Adama Diakhaby on a five-year contract.
Diakhaby is a product of the Caen youth system and spent last season at Stade Rennais where he started three Ligue 1 games, came off the bench on 22 occasions, and scored four goals.
The 21-year-old told the club's official website: “I’m really happy to be joining AS Monaco, a club with huge ambition which gives its young players lots of opportunities to play. I’m here to show what I can do and make as much progress as possible.”
Monaco vice president and CEO Vadim Vasilyev added: “Adama Diakhaby is a very promising young player who already has one Ligue 1 season under his belt.
"He brings a fast, technical approach which could make a real difference. His skills and profile are exactly what we need to move our plans forward.
"We’re sure that he’ll fit in well with the team and develop his full potential.”
