Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has indicated that Alberto Moreno could earn back a starting spot after his performance in their recent win over FC Bayern München.
The Reds defeated the Bundesliga champions 3-0 in the Audi Cup on Tuesday, with the Spaniard impressing despite making just two Premier League starts last season.
"It was a really good game from Alberto, that's why we kept him on, because every second he was playing better, he was more present," Klopp said.
"He's really fit but he's had a little problem with his thigh since the day before yesterday. But we had a test with him this morning and he really played well.
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014, and featured regularly in his first two campaigns in England, but made just 10 Premier League appearances last season.
