FC Bayern München signings Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Sule have revealed they are up for the challenge of playing for the German champions, after starting training at the club.
The pair only began training with the Carlo Ancelotti-coached outfit on 30 July, after being given extended holiday leave following their exertions in helping Germany win the Confederations Cup at the start of the month.
Both players joined the Bavarians ahead of 2017/18 after making their name for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. As such, the pair are eager to rise to the occasion and impress.
Rudy told Bayern's official website, "I'm glad to finally be here. I had a long break and I’m just looking forward to getting going here and showing what I can do. I want to continue to improve, grow as a person and push myself.
"I think we have good competition for places here and that means we're all pushing ourselves and have to perform at our best. I'll try and play my part in that."
Sule added, "There's nothing better for me as a young player than learning from the best in the world. It's a massive task for me to pressure the boys, to soak up as much as I can from them and try to get game time."
