Jacob Murphy has revealed that signing for Newcastle has fulfilled a childhood dream and he is eager to get stuck in at his new club.
The 22-year-old winger was a stand-out performer for Norwich in the Championship last season, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists in 37 league appearances.
However, Murphy completed his transfer to the Magpies on Wednesday and is champing at the bit to help manager Rafael Benitez make a good fist of it in the Premier League.
"It was a childhood dream of mine to represent Newcastle and the opportunity is now here. I can't wait to get started," the youngster told the club's official website.
Benitez added on his new signing: "He's a young and talented player and hopefully he can develop even more here.
"We hope he can show us the passion, commitment and ability that he showed in the Championship last season."
