English Premier League Champions Chelsea have seen an opening bid for Gonzalo Higuain rejected by Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
Italian publication Tuttosport revealed that Massimo Allegri’s side has issued a hands-off warning to the Blues, after the English side tabled a £88million bid for the prolific forward.
Chelsea are known to be in the market for a new centre-forward. Current striker Diego Costa is poised for an exit from Stamford Bridge, while they also lost out to Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku’s signature.
And now the latest blow with the Old Lady rejecting the advances for their Argentina international forward – could see Antonio Conte turn his attention to Torino's Andrea Belotti and Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata.
Higuain scored 32 goals in his debut season with the Bianconeri after his €90 million transfer from domestic rivals Napoli last season.
