Roda JC has pulled off a major coup with the signing of Sweden international midfielder Simon Gustafson on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old midfielder arrives from Eredivisie Champions Feyenoord in the temporary switch after struggling to earn a regular starting berth under manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Since joining De Stadionclub in 2015 for a reported £1million from BK Häcken, the tireless midfielder has only featured 21 times for the first-team, scoring three goals and registering a credible eight assists.
De Koempels Technical director Harm van Veldhoven welcomed the quality addition to the squad as they look to improve on their 17th placed finish in the top-flight last season.
"Simon is a talented left-footed attacking midfielder that has a fantastic technique. With his understanding, he can set other players free through the middle," he told the club's website.
"We would like to thank Feyenoord for making this transfer."
