FC Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed the Bundesliga champions are negotiating the sale of Douglas Costa to Juventus.
The Brazil international has won back-to-back league titles in his two seasons at the Allianz Arena, although injuries limited his impact for the Bavarian giants.
Costa started just 14 games in the German top flight last term as Bayern secured their fifth successive championship trophy, in Carlo Ancelotti’s first season at the helm.
The 26-year-old winger has been heavily linked with a move to Turin in recent weeks, and Rummenigge admits there is “serious” interest from the Bianconeri.
“We are in talks with Juventus, but there is no signed deal yet,” Rummenigge told a press conference at the unveiling of Corentin Tolisso.
“The player told us that he would like to leave the club. I won’t lie, there is an amount, and when this amount will be paid, we are ready to finalise the deal. The talks are positive and serious.”
