Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos wants to help the club dominate in all competitions in 2017/18, through hard work and a good attitude.
PSG began pre-season training on July 4 at the club's Ooredoo Training Center as manager Unai Emery attempts to improve on his first season at the helm.
Despite doing well in domestic cup competitions, the Parisians lost their title to Monaco and threw away a four-goal advantage to bow out to Barcelona 6-5 on aggregate in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
As such, Marquinhos, who made 41 appearances in all competitions last term, says that approaching the new campaign with a solid mentality is important.
The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm very happy to be back at home with my team-mates, my staff and my city! I'm very happy to be back. It's not easy getting back to work!
"Plus, it's just the beginning but in any case, it's always great to get back to work after the holidays. We're kicking off a very important season. We'll need to have just the right mentality in order to take our club back to the top."
