Kevin Diks says it is ‘a dream come true’ to have joined Eredivisie Champions Feyenoord.
The 20-year-old Dutch under 21 international joined the club on loan from Fiorentina this week after spending last season on loan with Vitesse Arnhem.
The right-back told NOS: "I was a Feyenoord fan when I was a kid and this is a dream club for me. I will be battling with Bart Nieuwkoop for the right-back slot on in the first team.
”I am full of confidence and to play for the reigning champions here in the Netherlands and to play in the Champions League for the first time is a dream come true.
”It will be strange playing against Vitesse Arnhem in the Johan Cruyff Schaal. I grew up at Vitesse Arnhem and first made my name with the club and also winning the KNVB cup with them last season.
”I only have respect for what Vitesse Arnhem has done for me. Peter Bosz game me my chance there and I will never forget that.”
Diks was signed as a replacement for Rick Karsdorp, who joined Roma last week.
