Bournemouth have signed young Blackburn Rovers winger Connor Mahoney on a four-year contract to join the club’s U23 squad.
The 20-year-old started his football career at Accrington Stanley, where he made his debut at the age of 16, before moving to Ewood Park.
Mahoney's contract at Rovers expired in June, and the two clubs are still discussing what compensation would be satisfactory for the selling party.
"I think I'm ready to step up and challenge myself," Mahoney told his new club's official website.
"I'm a young, hungry player, who wants to attack and get past my man. I like to get fans off their seat and I'm trying to make my way in the game.
"Working with Eddie Howe and his coaching staff will be a dream come true, so to be able to do that day in, day out will get the best out of me."
Cherries boss Eddie Howe added: "I'm very pleased to welcome Connor to the football club. He is a player we have very high hopes for.
"He has a lot of potential and hopefully it will be a really good deal for both him and us."
