Immers returns to The Hague

ADO Den Haag have announced the signing of former attacker Lex Immers on a two-year deal.

The 31-year-old ex-Feyenoord, Cardiff City and Club Brugge midfielder spent five years at the club from 2007 to 2012, playing 161 times and scoring 34 goals and creating a further 21.

He joins the club after leaving Club Brugge, with Den Haag revealing he wanted to be closer to his family.

Club director Jeffrey van As told the club's official website: "Lex fits perfectly with this club. He has the mentality that belongs to ADO. Another advantage is that Lex knows the club well and, of course, is a great signing for ADO. We look forward to two Beautiful years."

Immers added: "It has always been a dream to return to ADO, it was sooner than expected, but I'm not happy about it. When ADO. Like my previous period, I want to experience many beautiful moments again."

Den Haag have also managed tie down Donny Gorter, who has signed a new three-year deal with the Eredivisie club.

He said: "I have said that this club was on my wish list, and not only because my father was born and raised in The Hague, that feeling at ADO is still great, so I'm happy to stay here."
