AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Bayer 04 Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
The 23-year-old German-born Turkish international becomes the club's sixth signing, after Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie, Ricardo Rodriguez, Andre Silva and Fabio Borini.
A special thanks to my agent Bektas Demirtas and my best bro @_rs10rs_ who are always on my side. ?????? I cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me in the last years. Without you I would not be in the place where I am today. ?? #TeamÇalhanoğlu #teşekkürler #ThankYou #ForzaMilan @acmilan // Özel teşekkürlerim Menajerim Bektaş Demirtaş'a ve hep yanımda olan kardeşim @_rs10rs_ 'a. ?????? Son yıllarda benim için yaptıklarına ne kadar teşekkür etsem azdır. Sen olmasaydın, ben bugün buralarda olamazdım. ??
A brief statement from Milan read: "AC Milan announce the signing of Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The player has penned a four-year contract through to 2021."
Calhanoglu joins the Bundesliga for a reported €24m deal after scoring seven goals and registering as many assists in 22 games for Leverkusen last season before his four-month ban due to a breach of contract – where FIFA found the 23-year-old guilty of signing a deal with two clubs in 2011.
The Rossoneri's spending spree now moves to £90million.
