Ajax Amsterdam’s latest signing Benjamin van Leer says he is grateful for the opportunity to represent the Eredivisie giants.
Van Leer agreed a four-year deal with De Joden for a reported fee of €700,000 from Roda JC and comes in as a direct replacement for goalkeeper Diederik Boer who returned to PEC Zwolle.

After the deal was confirmed on Friday, the 25-year-old spoke of the joy of joining his new club.
"I am very happy, proud and very grateful to be from today playing for this club. For me it was clear that I wanted to join Ajax," the PSV academy graduate told the club's website.
"At this club you just want to play. I wanted to play with Ajax instead of playing against Ajax."
Van Leer kept nine clean sheets in 34 Eredivisie games for De Koempels last season.
