Real Madrid have offloaded midfielder Enzo Zidane – the eldest son of manager Zinedine Zidane.
The La Liga champions have confirmed that Zidane has joined fellow Spanish side Alaves on a three-year contract after the 22-year-old has struggled to make the grade at the Bernabeu.
Zidane progressed through Real’s academy ranks and scored in his lone first-team appearance last November, during a 6-1 Copa del Rey victory over third division Cultural Leonesa.

After becoming a regular for Madrid’s reserve team, he will now get the chance to stake his claim for regular first-team football at Alaves, who finished ninth in La Liga last season.
"Deportivo Alaves wants to welcome Enzo Zidane and wishes him the best of luck for the new season,” said an Alaves statement.
There have been reports in Spain that Real have a buy-back clause in place, although that is common in many transfers of young players.
