Celta Vigo sporting director Felipe Minambres has opened the door for out-of-favour Manchester City winger Nolito to return to his former club.
The Spain international ended a three-year association with Celta in 2016 when he reunited with former Barcelona head coach Pep Guardiola at City.
But Nolito found the going tough in England, managing just 19 Premier League appearances for Guardiola's side – only nine of them starts. His family also struggled to adapt to the English weather.
The 30-year-old is contracted to the Citizens until 2019, although Celta would welcome him back at Balaidos sooner than that if he wished to return.
"Nolito is an important player and he would of course be a significant signing should he choose to return," Minambres told Marca.
"I understand that he wants to have more first-team football. It would be good for him if he returned to play in our team."
