Nigerian prospect Henry Onyekuru has taken to social media to announce his move to Everton, although he will be loaned out to Anderlecht for the coming season.
The 20-year-old striker attracted interest from the Toffees and Premier League rivals Arsenal after scoring 22 goals in the Belgian top flight for Eupen last term.
Onyekuru revealed earlier this month that the Gunners had made an approach for his services, but they appear to have lost out to Ronald Koeman's side after he underwent a medical at Finch Farm on Monday.
However, the Nigeria international will remain in Belgium to continue his development with league champions RSCA, giving him invaluable exposure to Champions League football.
The Merseysiders have yet to confirm the deal, but Onyekuru posted a picture on Instagram of him posing in front of the club's badge with the caption: "So happy to sign for Everton."
Upon returning to his homeland for a short vacation, he told SCORENigeria: "My loan move to Anderlecht is a good step for me and a welcome development because striking a deal is not all about the money involved.
"I am looking forward to another great season in Belgium as well as to feature in the Champions League. I hope to do more than I did last season with KAS Eupen."
